Abstract
Research suggests that food insecurity is a substantial problem on college campuses. Moreover, food insecurity has been found to negatively impact academic performance. The current study seeks to examine the relationship between students’ food security level and their GPA, classroom behaviors, and psychological well-being. A brief self-administered survey will be used to assess for food security levels as well academic outcomes. The results of this IRB approved study are expected to demonstrate that academic outcomes are negatively impacted by food insecurity. The findings from this study can provide additional support for the expansion and creation of resources for students.
