Abstract

Previous research shows that college students can be extremely active or sedentary based on various factors such as time of year, gender, and perhaps the day of the week. The goal of this study was to assess if one day of the week altered physical activity and caloric expenditure in college adults. Subjects wore a wrist-worn activity tracker for 30 days which recorded daily steps and daily caloric expenditure. The results showed that the day of the week did not influence steps or caloric expenditure.
