This study examines the experiences of formal sex education in k-12 school for NKU students who identify as a part of the LGBTQ+ community. Oftentimes, curriculum content in this arena may contain inaccurate or detrimental information about this identity category, or fail to mention it altogether. This project will first therefore attempt to ascertain what, if any information LGBTQ+ students received about this part of themselves. Following that, it will assess what, if any impact this formal sex education had on their sense of themselves and their formation of their sexual orientation and gender identity.en_US
