dc.description.abstract"Research shows that mental illness has been increasing among college students. Universities have responded to this social problem by expanding student resources, including counseling and disability services. This study seeks to examine if accessing disability services has a positive effect on the academic performance of students who have a diagnosed mental illness. The results of the study, which used an electronic survey, are expected to show that students who have a mental illness and utilize disability services perform at higher academic levels. These findings may prompt universities to encourage students to utilize disability services in order to promote academic success."en_US
