Abstract
Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are vulnerable traumatic incidents that an individual can endure throughout their childhood. ACEs can negatively impact an individual in many ways, which includes engaging in high-risk sexual behaviors. An electronic self-report survey will examine ACEs and high-risk sexual behavior among NKU students. This study anticipates finding an individual with a higher ACE score having more high-risk behaviors. These results will inform the NKU community about the effects that ACEs and high-risk sexual behaviors have on an individual and the need to provide appropriate services.
