dc.description.abstract"Addiction is a growing problem around the world, especially in our community. This problem may be growing because of the addiction being passed down from parents to their children. The purpose of this study is to examine whether a parent’s addiction increases the likelihood of their child developing a substance use disorder later in life. A brief, electronic survey was used for data collection. The results are expected to show a relationship between parental addiction and their children developing a substance use disorder. These findings can assist social workers in advocating for preventative measures for children of people with addictions."en_US
