Abstract
The prevalence of human trafficking in the tri-state is one of the highest in the nation. Research suggests that helping professionals are ill-prepared to identify and assist human trafficking victims. This study examines whether NKU students have a basic awareness of human trafficking and whether they are prepared to identify and assist victims. A self-administered survey will be used to collect data. Expected results will show that students are not prepared to identify and assist victims. Findings will be used to promote more awareness and the implementation of human trafficking trainings for students.
