dc.description.abstractAdverse Childhood Experiences are traumatic experiences such as physical and sexual abuse, neglect, and many more that happen before the age of eighteen. Ace’s can affect an Individuals substance use as they grow through adolescents and enter into college age.  Little research has been done to show the effects of ace scores, substance use, and academic success. This research can help us learn how student success is affected by ace scores and substance use and provide resources to support students in treatment and servicesen_US
