Traditional methods of cave mapping are often tedious and time-consuming. Advances in remote sensing technologies provide an opportunity to increase the accuracy, detail and efficiency of cave mapping through depth sensors and other devices. Using the Intel Realsense D435i Stereo Depth Sensor, a 3D and 2D models will be created of the X-Cave system in Carter Caves State Resort Park in Olive Hill, Kentucky. The dimensions of this model will then be compared to the dimensions recorded by a disto laser tool.en_US
