Secure programming Bot

Abstract

This project created a chatbot to assist software developers in writing more secure code and ran an experiment to evaluate the bot. Security vulnerabilities in software result from mistakes made by programmers. Few software developers have the knowledge to develop secure code. The large majority of answers to security questions on developer question and answer sites are incorrect, so it is important to offer more accurate assistance. This presentation evaluated the bot in an experiment carried out in two sections of the web programming class. One section used the bot for assistance, while the other section used traditional web resources.
