Abstract
In the United States alone, over 240 million people have a social media presence. Among these people, over 40 million of them have indicated struggling with symptoms of anxiety and depression. These numbers have been on a steady upward climb since social media became popular in the early 2000s. Though social media was created for a good purpose, it has become an unavoidable part of our lives that can have a huge impact on mental health if given the power to do so.
