dc.description.abstract"Human Trafficking is the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring, or receipt of persons by improper means for an improper purpose. An estimated 21 to 45 million people in the world today are trapped in some form of human trafficking. This study, which utilizes an electronic survey, will explore the portrayal of human trafficking in the media and misconceptions surrounding this social problem. Specifically, the survey will examine Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati residents' knowledge of modern day human trafficking. The findings will assist social workers as they strive to raise awareness about this social problem."en_US
