dc.description.abstract"How to balance friendship and leadership. Who does not want to be liked by their peers? No one wants to be disliked. However, when workplace promotions elevate one co-worker to a position of authority over co- workers, the interpersonal dynamic changes and can create leadership challenges. This authoethnographic study offers an account of my personal experience with this workplace dynamic, explores the challenges of this transition, and offers insights into balancing responsibility across these two ""ships"" of leadership and friendship."en_US
