"The Five-Day Work Week - Who is This Working For?"
Northern Kentucky University
"Work-Life balance is a buzzword we hear a lot these days, but what does it actually look like for the average American? For many, it looks like a lack of balance. Rushing from work to pick up the kids, take them to practice or rehearsal, wishing you had enough time to cook a healthy meal but knowing it would mean getting to bed later and feeling exhausted the next day. By examining the current state of work-life balance in the US through an interdisciplinary perspective, while specifically paying attention to the outdated standard of the five-day workweek, it can be shown why we should look closer at this practice in our society. Improved balance between work and personal life through a four-day workweek could be beneficial for all stakeholders."
