As the United States holds close to the highest incarceration rates in the world, research suggests incarcerated individuals are at high risks for recidivism. Research shows that a high percent of offenders are males of color with socioeconomic hardship who lack the access and resources for successful re-entry. A brief self-administered survey will be used to assess the impact prior criminal justice involvement has on academic outcomes. These findings can assist social workers in illustrating the need for resources and programs regarding adults who may be struggling with re-entry and the effects it has on their academic success.en_US
