Abstract
"This study examined public opinion on American drug policy. The study investigated whether Republicans were more likely to feel that drug abuse was a more serious problem than their Democratic counterparts, whether Republicans were less likely to support legalizing marijuana for recreational use, and whether those with personal connections to those affected by drug abuse are more likely to support harm reduction policies like needle exchange programs and methadone treatments."
