Abstract

"College students in the past year have been affected by two major social-stressors; the COVID19 Pandemic and the widespread Black Lives Matters protests. Our focus for this study was all public, four-year universities in Kentucky and we used a Qualtrics survey based on multiple validated instruments of stress and student leadership to determine how sorority and fraternity leaders were affected over the last year. Preliminary analyses emphasize the importance of demonstrating empathy and increased stress from individuals concerning their future. Future work in this area can increase success in student leadership as our society changes and adapts to new stressors."
