dc.description.abstract"Famous athletic coaches Vince Lombardi and John Wooden exemplify authentic leadership practices, a leadership approach that has been recognized as the most effective leadership approach in athletics. Unfortunately, not all coaches follow those tenets of leadership. This study explores abusive leadership practices that are all too often leveraged by coaches and discusses what can be done to reduce abusive leadership in the world of sports. Using a literature review methodology, journal articles were reviewed to draw conclusions about abusive leadership approaches among athletic coaches."en_US
