It is estimated that 20% of college students meet the criteria for a substance use disorder. This is concerning because substance abuse negatively impacts academic achievement. This study aims to determine what substances are used, existing knowledge about where to find treatment on campus, and the effects that use has on academic achievement among NKU students. An online survey was used to collect data from 100 NKU students. Findings might suggest that the stigma related to drug and alcohol use is a deterrence to seeking help. Possible need for expansion and normalization of resources on NKU’s campus is discussed.en_US
