Abstract

Research suggests that sexual assault is a huge issue among students on college campuses. The current study seeks to examine and understand NKU students’ perceptions of consent regarding sex or any sexual act. A brief self-administered survey will be handed out to NKU students to assess their perceptions of consent. The results of this study are expected to show that NKU students’ definitions of consent are very different. These misinterpretations of consent can lead to a higher probability of sexual assault. Therefore, more programing and education on consent could be beneficial.
