Abstract

Three NKU professors presented at the 2020 NKU German Club Faculty lecture series. Junko Agnew explored the language politics of Manchukuo. Nancy Jentsch addressed the role of humor in the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling and the unique challenges these books provide to translators. Iliana Rosales Figueroa explored the topic of urban walking in the novel Le cri des oiseaux fous by Dany Laferriere.
