Universities have responded to this social problem by expanding student resources, including counseling and disability services. This study seeks to examine if accessing disability services has a positive effect on the academic performance of students who have a diagnosed mental illness. The results of the study, which used an electronic survey, are expected to show that students who have a mental illness and utilize disability services perform at higher academic levels.
