In our lab, we reacted heteroaryl compounds (4- Bromoquinolone) with tropinone using microwave irradiation at 160°C and 180°C in the presence of palladium catalyst. Techniques such as NMR, MPLC, and computer modeling were then utilized to isolate and purify the compound as well as assess its potential as an orally active drug.
