However, there are currently over 2 million Sexual Minorites (SM) that are interested in adoption but due to multiple barriers are unable to adopt. There has been little research into the barriers that SM individuals face while attempting to adopt. A brief self administered survey giving to SM individuals who have experienced this process will assist in exploring those barriers.
