It is a cause that needs a lot of constant attention due to the overwhelming amount of adults and children affected by either alcohol or substance misuse. This is a disease that we can use prevention to educate in schools, churches, and community partners. Literature shows us that there is a delay in services and limited research for the non-white people who are diagnosed with substance use disorder.
