The solution I have proposed to this complex problem is to mainstream queer-heroes who survive their depictions. I researched this complex problem through various disciplinary perspectives such as psychology, history, criminal justice, sociology and literature & film. I believe there is still room for research in more scholarly conversations that pertain to this complex problem.
