Abstract

With the increasing prevalence of technological use, students are finding it harder to turn off the devices. The question then becomes, what are the effects of the constant connectivity? This study assesses whether devices used for access to social media accounts during class time has any direct correlation on a student’s GPA. The data examines students currently enrolled at Northern Kentucky University and is collected based on information gathered from an online survey. Results are expected to show that , with increased usage of devices during class for personal use, GPA are lowered.
