Abstract:
"Telehealth has become increasingly utilized in efforts to adhere to social distancing during the
COVID-19 pandemic. Clinicians’ use of telehealth platforms to provide behavioral health psychotherapy has increased over the past years. Evidence suggests the use of telehealth mediums to provide therapy does not adversely affect the quality of the therapeutic relationship between therapists and clients. A survey was provided to Social Workers in Cincinnati to explore clinicians’ perceptions regarding whether providing telehealth services affects the quality of the therapeutic relationship. This study will provide valuable information as the use of telehealth mediums to provide therapy
continues to increase."
