Women's Sexuality in Popular Music from the 1980s vs Contemporary Pop Music

Abstract
Research has shown that the sexualization of women has and continues to be a part of popular music media. For my approach, I focused on music videos from pop music in the 1980s and compared them to contemporary pop music videos, specifically comparing the sexuality of women found in both. My results were exactly as I had found in my research which is that women are still being sexually exploited in popular music, even more so now than in the 80s. I then contemplate my thoughts and feelings and if I think that this is damaging/exploitive or empowering.
