Abstract

Research suggests that foster care alumni face a variety of consequences that impact their academic success. One of these consequences is anxiety.  The current study seeks to examine the prevalence of anxiety among foster care alumni at NKU.  A brief self-administered survey will be used to determine the prevalence of anxiety.   The results from this IRB approved study are expected to indicate that the prevalence of anxiety is fairly high among students who are foster care alumni.  These findings can assist social workers in the creation of additional mental health services for students.
