Abstract

Sexual assault has become a significant topic of concern on college campuses. Often, this conversation concerns men doing harm to women; however, this narrative does not capture or address the needs of individuals who fall outside of this norm. This study will examine student perceptions of sexual assault and intimate partner violence (IPV) on NKU’s campus, as well as individual perceptions of available resources and their efficacy. With particular focus on demographics related to gender, sexuality, and education level, this survey will investigate differences in concern regarding sexual assault, its prevalence, and accessibility of resources depending upon these factors.
