Scanned photographs taken by George Rubin Offutt, Sr. between 1940-1945 while serving in the military in Okinawa, Japan during WWII. The photographs are of fellow African American soldiers from Northern Kentucky in World War II: Henry Brown, William Brown, James Rucker and unidentified civilians in Okinawa. Each pictured is identified in Harris’ essay on Northern Kentucky African Americans during WWII.
